Daniel Blumberg, frontman of London outfit Yuck, will release his debut LP in June through his new project, Oupa. Forget, a collection of seven piano-based tracks, is an extension of the Weakend EP released under the name Yu(c)k in the summer of last year.

The melancholy piano ballads are a departure from Blumberg’s work in Yuck, veering from the indie pop genre. Instead, Blumberg provides a stripped down, spacious sound that feels as though he’s playing in the same room as you. Though more simple in its components, Forget is far from empty, and fills each track with Blumberg’s echoing vocals and piano.

Blumberg will make his live debut at SXSW next week followed by a few select dates through April with Porcelain Raft and Sebadoh. The album’s title track is below, with tour dates also listed.
