British hype-rock band the Vaccines is going to headline a tour of these United States this September, bringing its concoction of poppy hooks and pretty Britishness to American audiences from sea to shining sea. The Vaccines has had a banner year, releasing its What Did You Expect From the Vaccines? on Columbia on May 31 and departing from its NME-proclaimed pedestal to entertain audiences on both sides of the Atlantic. While popular in the United States, the Vaccines is bloody huge in the U.K. After opening for fellow NME royalty Arctic Monkeys this summer, the London louts played Glastonbury to 25,000 soaked, dirty festivalgoers and are set to repeat the feat at Lollapalooza in a month. In fact, the anthem-rockers are also playing Outside Lands in San Francisco, just to cover all the bases.

The Vaccines just put out a new single, “Norgaard,” which sounds badass until you learn that it’s inspired by a skinny Danish model that the lead singer-songwriter presumably either slept with or lusted after (I mean, why else write a song about her?). It’s like 1:39, and it’s really catchy if you’re into the rest of the Vaccines’ songs. It contains heartbreaking lines like “smaller tits/and skinny framework/tall sharp hips/and you’re all in the same work,” which seals the deal.
