This Saturday, February 8, Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne continues the second half of his “Record Store Tour” where he will be signing copies of the aptly named The Flaming Lips 1st EP. The limited edition version of their earliest music was remastered by Lips bassist Michael Ivins and is available on green 12-inch vinyl with a fresh new cover by freak artist Charlie Immer. If that didn’t get you excited enough, Coyne will be selling extremely limited versions of the vinyl copy encased in anatomically correct, artisan-crafted chocolate skulls, each containing a gold coin which gains you admission to any Flaming Lips show worldwide.
The Flaming Lips will also be performing this Thursday February 6 on The Late Show with David Letterman to celebrate Beatles Week as a tribute to the Beatles’ first appearance on U.S. tekevision.
