Boise psych-pop artist Youth Lagoon has worked with director Tyler T. Williams in the past, collaborating on the beautifully shot and beguiling videos for “Montana” and “July,” so it makes sense that the two would team up again for a track off the band’s latest album, Wondrous Bughouse.
The clip for “Mute” starts with a long-haired dude lying on the ground, presumably having just wiped-out while trying to do a trick on his skateboard. Our hero then gets the stink-eye from a suspiciously still dog. Before the video can turn into a psych-rock version of Turner And Hooch, the long-haired dude rides away on his board and finds a mysterious house to go trespass in. Kids these days! Always causing mischief! Check out the clip below.
