Staying true to the constantly evolving nature of his previous records, Washed Out has returned with the sunburnt “It All Feels Right,” the first single off Paracosm, due out August 13 via Sub Pop. The video, combined with a the psychedelic textures created by the synths and guitars, is pretty enthralling and leaves us wondering what the full-length will sound like. If we’re to take this as a signal, it sounds like he’s delving deeper into unexpected pop territory.
Ernest Greene was propelled into the chillwave scene with his 2009 EP for Mexican Summer, Life Of Leisure. Since its release, Greene has gone on to join the ranks of Sub Pop with 2011’s Within And Without, which saw him expand on the soundscapes he created in his earlier records.
