uncle acid
Mysterious international heavy riff-rockers Uncle Acid And The Deadbeats have just shared the video for Runaway Girls. The song hearkens back to the day-glo ends of ’70s metal, sounding like Black Sabbath at their grooviest, fleshed out with lead guitar harmonies and psychedelic vocal layers. The (slightly NSFW) video is equally dark and trippy, intersplicing found ’60s and ’70s news and B-flick footage about murderers and cults with go-go dancers and group love.
Following the release of Uncle Acid’s third LP Mind Control last year on Metal Blade Records/Rise Above Records, Runaway Girls will be released as a seven-inch single later this year. The single release coincides with the band’s first ever full U.S. tour that will find them melting faces in over a dozen major North American cities this fall, and includes an already sold-out night at the infamous Roxy in Los Angeles.
