The Julie Ruin has released a new video for their song “Oh Come On.” With her latest project, Kathleen Hanna (Bikini Kill, Le Tigre) continues to carry on her lo-fi, punk legacy of heavy guitar riffs and distorted vocals. Last year, the group released their first single “Girls Like Us” which had a more synth-heavy feeling to it than “Oh Come On.”
The video is like the rock n’roll prom I never got to go to, with haphazardly strewn lights, grungy snarls, and colorful montages of fun-having. The Julie Ruin’s debut album, Run Fast, is set for release September 3 followed by a fall tour. Until then, you can watch Hanna and crew get rowdy in their video for “Oh Come On” below.
