The noise punks of the Death Set have released a video for “I Miss You Beau Velasco,” a tender tribute to the band’s co-founder, who was found dead in his New York City studio in September 2009. The heartfelt track is from 2011’s stellar Michel Poiccard, an album that celebrated Velasco’s life. The video, two years in the making, begins with a wigged shaman delivering a million-dollar check from Velasco and features mainstays in the East Coast DIY scene Santigold, Dan Deacon, Spank Rock, High Places, XXXChange, Japanther, Best Fwends, Trouble Andrew and Vice Cooler (XBXRX) who all, along with the members of the Death Set, pay a tribute to their lost friend.
