Today, the Brooklyn punkers Parquet Courts released a new video for their dizzying track, Sunbathing Animal, which we heard earlier this month. The video, according to Noisey, pays homage to The Replacements’ classic non-video for Bastards Of Young. With the quick flashes of smiley faces and words, it almost feels like that scene in Fight Club where Brad Pitt plays a movie for a bunch of kids and flashes a penis on the screen so that it’s barely noticeable. Thankfully, no genitals are featured in Sunbathing Animal. It just features, well, a sunbathing animal.
Sunbathing Animal will be out June 3 via What’s Your Rupture? and Mom + Pop. In other cool Paquet Courts news, the band will be debuting a new song on Late Night With Seth Meyers on April 30. Until then, sunbathe like an animal below.
