Brooklyn-based experimental artist Daniel Lopatin, also know by his stage name Oneohtrix Point Never, has released a video for his track Still Life (Excerpt) off his upcoming record R Plus Seven, out October 1 via Warp.
To create the video, Lopatin teamed up with artist (and frequent Oneohtrix Point Never collaborator) Nate Boyce. The clip brings the ambient and ominous track into a scene that is equally unusual and slightly unsettling. It follows a series of mechanical objects flowing through and interacting with some type of liquid substance, while hundreds of ads are flashed on and off the screen. The mixture of liquid and machine is eerily reminiscent of something out of James Cameron’s Terminator 2: Judgement Day. You can watch the video for Still Life (Excerpt), below.
