If you’ve listened to Marissa Nadler recent album, July, it probably won’t surprise you that her new video for Drive was directed by Naomi Yang of Galaxie 500. Though G500 tends to sound a lot more washed out than Nadler’s dark folk, the sense of cerebral vapor that flows through their music is a defining characteristic for both artists. The visual for Drive is similarly vaporous, layering open road film footage from French artist Bernard Faucon with brief moments of Nadler alone in an ornate home. Watch it below and read our Q&A with Nadler here.
