New Zealand pop-scuzz group Ghost Wave are slated to unleash their debut album, Ages, on August 27 via Arch Hill. To tide us over until then, Ghost Wave have shared the accompanying video for their latest glory-days-of-garage-rock single, “Bootlegs” (via Spin).
Set in the concrete wasteland of a former suburban strip mall, the colorless clip features a bearded man rummaging through litter in search of something noteworthy. To his surprise, amidst the grey clutter lies a pristine daisy. Enamored by the flower’s unadulterated beauty, the homeless man tends to the daisy as though it was the sole shimmering light in a world of corporate darkness.
