The folk- and psych-rock classicists of California’s Foxygen have released a video for “San Francisco,” a whimsical, 1960s Brit-rock-style track from the band’s upcoming album, We Are The 21st Century Ambassadors Of Peace And Magic.
In the video, director Cameron Dutra loosely follows singer Sam France’s story of leaving a girl behind in San Francisco. The clip flips between scenes of France, guitarist Jonathan Rado and touring bandmate Elizabeth Gomez hanging out in dimly lit rooms that look like Wes Anderson sets and outdoor shots of France and Gomez frolicking in the woods. Watch the video below, stay tuned for the album’s January 22 release on Jagjaguwar, and grab a free download of album track “Shuggie” here.
