It’s been nearly two years since Flying Lotus’s excellent fourth album, Until The Quiet Comes, (Warp) dropped, but we’re just getting a visual today for Phantasm, a jazzy album cut featuring breathless vocals from Laura Darlington.
The Markus Hofko-directed clip was shot in the New Zealand desert, and tells a vaguely mystical tale of a mummy with a ball of light for a soul, and the furry monster that lets that light escape. I don’t know what the metaphor is here, but I’m sure there is one. Check it out below.
