Folk-weilding weirdo Devendra Banhart has shared a visual for the Mala closer Taurobolium, dubbing it Mondo Taurobolium after the video’s main character, a duck named Mondo-T. Mondo-T’s lady friend is another duck named Gale (voiced by actress Rose McGowan).
The animal-noir film follows Mondo and Gale around a decaying city as they trade dramatic monologues about life, art, money and fame, all while sporting bloodshot eyes and dull expressions. Galen Pehrson (who also worked with Banhart on the video for Feel Just Like A Child) created the clip using hand-drawn 2D animation. Check it out (via Nowness), below.
