Oddball electronic producer Benny Boeldt, aka Adventure, joined forces with Carpark Records for the third time for his Weird Work LP. His latest album was a slight departure from what we’ve become accustomed to: the overall sound was cleaner and much more abrasive, not to mention lacking vocals. It almost sounds like Kuedo’s Severant if it were recorded through old Casio keyboards.
Alongside director Mark Brown, Adventure has made an abstract and digitally modified video for Alone. Washed in colors and effects, featureless people walk aimlessly around a forest. There’s really no explanation for the video—as quickly as the purple ghost people arrive, they disappear. It’s an interesting effect, but whether there’s any meaning in it is questionable.
