Perth, Australia synth pop dwellers, Voltaire Twins, will travel stateside with appearances at SXSW, CMW (Canadian Music Week) and a “Aussie BBQ” New York show in support of their EP, Romulus, released last November.
In addition to playing America, the group recently won Gold at the Australian Cinematography Awards for the video of their single “Animalia,” directed by Ben Young and David Le May. The creepy clip not only features a taxidermist doing a fine job of re-feathering the twins after a fatal bird brawl (or dance off?), but it also features the latest beak mask technology. Watch below for the rainbow colored toes.

Because everybody loves a little boogie break in their day, Voltaire Twins have also added remixes of “Animalia” by Lifelike and Purple Sneaker DJs to their repertoire as well as a Moullinex remix of “Rumulus.” Scurry on over to their SoundCloud to peep those.
