’s Letterist looks like a rock band but plays the kind of anthemic synth-pop you’d expect to hear over the credits of an ’80s teen dramedy. The Terence Krey-directed video for the group’s latest single, “100MPH,” off the upcoming Solace And Gold, runs with the ’80s vibe via a good old-fashioned chase sequence. Luckily singer Pamela Bell manages to elude her pursuers for enough time to share a verse or two with us.
As for the mysterious bunny-man who appears in the video, the band had a quick explanation. “He is the infamous Broad Street Bunny from Philadelphia. He was arrested during the 2008 World Series parade (we have photos), and he is a big fan of us. Who knew furries liked electro-pop?”
