DJ John Digweed has invested several months of hard work into his most recent album, Structures Two, released June 20 on Digweed’s Bedrock label. The album comes on three CDs and features many remixes, live tracks and exclusives. Now the DJ has shared an exclusive clip of his Eye Of The Storm documentary with CMJ. Storm follows Digweed on his last tour of South America. Viewers are able to glimpse into the personal life of the DJ and get a look at his musical process. The documentary, made by Pablo Casacuberta, came out in 2010, but this is the first time its footage has been shared online.

This clip depicts Digweed DJing on a random street in Montevideo, Uruguay. At 3:30 in the afternoon Digweed sets up his turntables and performs in a graffiti-covered alleyway with multiple percussionists laying the live beat for his mixing. Dancers join in soon enough, adding to the overall ambiance of the video with a new energy as spectators groove to the beat and take pictures of the performance. The music builds in a slow and steady pattern leading into the climax that naturally builds from the energy that is exchanged among the drummers, dancers and Digweed.

Digweed is best known for his promotion of progressive house music that is increasingly popular all over Europe and rising to popularity in North America. In order to further promote the music he is spinning and mixing, Digweed created Bedrock Records under which he produces most of his music and adopts tracks with new styles of mixing. His music was met with high acclaim after his 2010 LP debut, the first Structures installment, which earned him the Community Choice Top DJ Mix at Beatport Music Awards this year. The tracklist for his follow-up is posted below.
