Graphic artist and Ghostly sound designer Tycho has announced his upcoming North American tour, which will take him and his live band to cities in the U.S. and Canada this winter. Tycho, also known as the visual artist ISO50 and San Francisco local Scott Hansen, has put his eye for design to use in crafting a light show to accompany the chillwaved sounds in his live sets. His blog for ISO50 displays some of Hansen’s artwork, including hazy, pretty posters and T-shirts, both of which bode well for the beauty of the light show he has designed.
Tycho – Hours [Dive LP – Nov. 2011] by Tycho
Tycho recently released Dive, a full-length LP inhabited by ebbing and winding stretches of music. A native of Sacramento, CA, Tycho makes works both audio and visual that reflect a sort of placid nostalgia and bucolic indie sensibility. As a graphic designer Hansen has worked for companies like Adobe, but his latest LP was crafted during a break from freelance design, giving him the freedom to devote all of his creative energy to the project. Check below for tour dates.
