At last night’s 83rd Annual Academy Awards, Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor took home his second major award of 2011 for his work alongside composer Atticus Ross in creating the year’s Best Original Score for David Fincher’s The Social Network. Reznor’s Oscar joins the Golden Globe Award that he received last month as he beat out composers John Powell and Hans Zimmer of How To Train Your Dragon and Inception. Clearly grateful for the success he has received over the last year, after winning the award Reznor tweeted, “HOLY SHIT doesn’t seem to be enough…”

Reznor doesn’t seem to be taking any time off before getting back to work. He will team up with Atticus Ross once again for Fincher’s next project, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, based on Stieg Larsson’s best selling novel. This musical duo really can’t get enough of one another—after inviting Reznor’s wife Mariqueen Maandig to create the post-industrial trio How To Destroy Angels last year, it’s safe to assume that there will be many more collaborations between Ross and Reznor to look forward to in the near future.
