With Cursive having been in somewhat of a lull since touring for 2009’s Mama, I’m Swollen, frontman Tim Kasher has taken time to put out some work on his own. Last year, he released his first solo record, The Game Of Monogamy, a lushly orchestrated character study on romantic commitment, and this year, he’s plumbing that same vein. Starting in mid-July, Kasher will hit the road for a U.S. tour that runs through early September, hitting much of the Midwest, Northeast and the South along the way.

In conjunction with the tour, Saddle Creek will release Bigamy: More Songs From The Monogamy Sessions, a new EP from Kasher that will only be available at shows and on the label’s webstore. Recorded in Omaha this past spring, the seven-track release features material written around the time of the Monogamy sessions, as well as a cover of Azure Ray’s “Trees Keep Growing.” Check out the dates for Kasher’s upcoming tour below.
