The DJ duo Thievery Corporation has just revealed the details of its sixth studio album, Culture Of Fear, dropping June 28 on ESL. In the 15-year history of the two-piece, Thievery Corporation has produced a diverse array of music as it continues to explore unique combinations of musical styles while blurring the distinctions between influential genres. Much like the duo’s previous albums, Culture Of Fear explores Thievery Corporation’s wide vocabulary of influence by including elements of dub, space-age ambiance, down-tempo lounge-style beats and classic hip-hop.
In light of the upcoming album release, Thievery Corporation will be kicking off a three-month tour on June 24 at the Williamsburg Waterfront in Brooklyn. And in typical Thievery Corporation fashion, its massive live band will likely join for the tour, providing a unique intimate experience that cannot be found on the group’s albums. More information on the upcoming album and additional tour dates will be announced soon.
