School Of Seven Bells has announced a date for its upcoming release. Ghostory, the follow-up to 2010’s Disconnect From Desire, hits shelves February 28 on Vagrant/Ghostly International. After Claudia Deheza left the band for personal reasons last year, the trio is now a duo, with Alejandra Deheza and Benjamin Curtis sharing the reins. “Ghostory is our most collaborative music to date,” says Curtis in a press release. “Alley (Alejandra) and I have always written our music together, but always independently and on our own time. We knew we wanted to do something that was more sensual and spontaneous than anything we had ever done before, and that meant writing together in a room, coming up with ideas quickly and immediately reacting to what the other person was doing.”
The result is a ghost story about a girl named Lafaye. Details are scarce but we gather the songs will tell Lafaye’s ghostly tale across the span of the album.
