Lakewood, CA singer-songwriter Sara Lindsay has been named the winner of the Superstars Songwriting Competition sponsored by Cakewalk, Intel and, with her song “Best Of Me.” The $10,000 grand prize is being awarded to Lindsay on January 6 at the Intel Experience Pavilion at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, NV.

Lindsay was chosen as the winner among 5,900 artists that submitted 13,000 songs. Artists sent in their original work starting July 2010, covering rock, pop, country, singer-songwriter, urban, and Latin. From there, over 200,000 fans cast their votes, whereby the top 20 songs from each genre were submitted into the Intel Superstars Finals Competition. Those voted into the top five of their genre received $50,000 in prize packages.

The three finalists included Lindsay, Aria Summer’s “Sweet Summertime,” and Lauren Light’s “Stay With Me.”

Selection of the grand prize winner was decided by a panel of six judges including Kristin Bredimus (Director Of Community And Content,, Bruce Tyler (Former EVP, Sony Music), Mike Rivet (Intel Corporation), Jimmy Landry (Artist Relations, Cakewalk), Jason Jordan (VP and A&R, Hollywood Records) and Rev. MOOSE (VP Of Content, CMJ Network).
