The North Carolina company Redeye Distribution has announced that both the Berlin-based !K7 Label Group and the Athens, GA, label the Mylene Sheath are now on its roster of distributed labels.
Beginning in 1996 with a focus on the independent music of the Southeast, Redeye has expanded nationally and internationally as a physical and digital distribution network. Redeye supports many labels, including Barsuk, Warp, Thrill Jockey. !K7’s first releases through Redeye will be the 10th anniversary edition of Jay Dee’s (aka J Dilla‘s) Welcome 2 Detroit and Al Kent’s five-disc box set, Disco Demands. Both releases are scheduled for January 24 on BBE.
The Mylene Sheath hosts artists like Caspian, Gifts From Enola, Beneath Oblivion and Beware Of Safety. The first releases the Mylene Sheath will distribute through Redeye will be Beneath Oblivion’s From Man To Dust and Beware Of Safety’s Leaves/Scars, which will both be available on November 8.
