The legendary rockers of Radiohead are set to perform two shows at New York City’s Roseland Ballroom on September 28 and 29, along with live performances on the first-ever one hour special of The Colbert Report September 26, and as the musical guest on the season premiere of Saturday Night Live September 24. Marking the band’s first appearances in the U.S. since its latest effort, The King Of Limbs, Radiohead has certainly made a point to take over the city this time around.
The King Of Limbs has received mixed reviews. While some fans are disappointed in the difference between Limbs and 2007’s In Rainbows, others are praising Radiohead for changing it up yet again. The album’s release was so sudden that many critics were forced to publish thoughts on the album with no more time to consider it than the masses, though many feel that with The King Of Limbs, what you hear is what you get. Whatever the case may be, fans will have two chances to catch Radiohead live this month, or really four if you can get seats for The Colbert Report or SNL.
Tickets for the shows at the Roseland Ballroom will be on sale September 26 at 10 a.m. and there is a limit of two tickets per customer. None of the tickets will be distributed beforehand and must be picked up at the will call booth beginning at 6.30 p.m.—so for diehard Radiohead fans, that really means about three hours before that—or maybe even earlier depending on your level of dedication. Perhaps it’s time to break out the sleeping bags and tents all over the sidewalks of New York City?
