After setting up shop in Asbury Park, NJ for a year, the U.S. chapter of All Tomorrow’s Parties came to Manhattan for the first time in the fest’s history. With a day curated by the Afghan Whigs, the line up was just as eclectic and varied as ever, offering the best in hip-hop, garage rock, noise and beyond. They even had a set from legendary composer Philip Glass, not something you see at your average rock fest.
Throughout the weekend we caught performances from Philadelphia rap staples the Roots, psych warriors Thee Oh Sees, soul master Charles Bradley, R&B innovator Frank Ocean, Nashville punk duo Jeff The Brotherhood and way, way more. It was quite the weekend. Check out our photo gallery, below. All photos by Adela Loconte.
