DFA stalwart Pat Mahoney has teamed up with Dennis McNany (also, a DFA regular) to form Museum Of Love. The pair’s first single, Down South, appears to be an electro infused, disco informed track on par with much of label’s recent output. With Mahoney on vocals and McNany on the instruments (whatever those may be) the duo looks to combine their substantial music experience into a weighty dance music project.
Mahoney, who is most known for his work as LCD Soundsystem’s drummer, has spent the bulk of his career working within the DFA family, and McNany is the head of Run Roc Records. When not running his own imprint he is making music under the alias Jee Day, which has released records on DFA. The pair’s first single will be available on June 18 with an album due later this year.
