German electronica artist Pantha Du Prince (ne Hendrick Weber) will drop in on some North American locations in support of his new album, XI Versions Of Black Noise, out April 19 on Rough Trade. The new album features remixes of songs from Weber’s much-loved 2010 album, Black Noise, done by Weber’s friends and colleagues, including folks from Animal Collective, Four Tet and Hieroglyphic Being. Pantha Du Prince also produced his own new version of the song “Lay In The Shimmer.”

Known for his affinity for ’80s shoegaze and techno, and his unusual sound-creation techniques, Weber has said that both albums were named for the indiscernible type of noise that makes up silence: black noise. He will tour in April with the Sight Below.
