Hunger Games, with its cult following, is one of the most anticipated movies of the year. T Bone Burnett—the man who sparked the roots music resurgence with the O Brother, Where Art Thou? album—produced the film’s soundtrack, and the opening track, “Abraham’s Daughter,” performed by Arcade Fire, is now being streamed exclusively on Entertainment Weekly‘s site. (Editor’s note: The song is temporarily down but should be back soon.)
Arcade Fire’s Régine Chassagne features prominently in this one. In addition to “Abraham’s Daughter,” the band also contributed the song “Horn Of Plenty” to the soundtrack. Other artists you’ll hear on there include Maroon 5, Taylor Swift and the Decemberists. The soundtrack drops March 20. Until then, may the odds be ever in your favor. **Nerd giggles**
