Milagres, the Brooklyn-based indie rock band, will release its second album, Glowing Mouth, September 13 on Kill Rock Stars. In support of the new record, the band will head out on tour this fall with Peter Wolf Crier across North America.
Milagres frontman Kyle Wilson left New York for a change in scene and experience, and wound up in cold and remote British Columbia. He suffered a back injury due to a rock climbing incident and found himself, while bedridden, returning to his music and songwriting.
Glowing Mouth is the result of Wilson’s return to New York and the group’s first LP as Wilson works alongside Fraser McCulloch (bass, vocals, keys), Eric Schwortz (guitar, vocals, percussion), Chris Brazee (piano, keys) and Steven Leventhal (drums, percussion). With influences ranging from Grizzly Bear to Prince, it’s no wonder that the musical scope of the album offers a grandiose demonstration of the breadth of Milagres’ material.
