Brainfeeder affiliate Jeremiah Jae has released his latest mixtape Bad Jokes via Warp. Featuring production from Flying Lotus, Jonwayne, Oliver The 2nd, and Jae himself, the tape delves further into the hazy beats and ’90s chic aesthetic the Chicago emcee is known for. It’s not all that surprising to see Flying Lotus behind the boards on Oatmeal Face considering he’s not only produced for Jae in the past, but also directed last year’s video for “Money.” Clocking in at 25 minutes, the mixtape is hopefully a tease of a larger project to come.
The buzz surrounding Jeremiah Jae was sparked by his Dxnce EP at the tail end of 2009. He’s since sporadically released one-off cassettes and records, but his largest body of work to date is last year’s Raw Money Raps, which saw a release through Brainfeeder. Now you can stream Bad Jokes below or download it here.
