Having already made herself worthy as one of the greatest modern-day guitarists, New York City’s Marnie Stern now has proven herself as a formidable punster with the title of her upcoming fourth album, The Chronicles Of Marnia, coming out March 19 via Kill Rock Stars. Having recorded the album in May this year in Brooklyn’s Rare Book Room Studio, Stern explained to Spin that she “was trying to focus on songwriting. Not guitar playing.” But that doesn’t mean the ferocious guitar has gone away, as indicated by “Year Of The Glad,” the first song off of the album:

The Chronicles Of Marnia will be Stern’s debut without the drumming of Zach Hill of Death Grips, as well as her first time with a producer.
