Tom Krell, How To Dress Well

Chicago’s How To Dress Well a.k.a. Tom Krell, earned quite a few fans with 2012’s Total Loss. In the time since, he’s released a few covers and most recently provided vocals for Jacques Greene’s “On Your Side.” Considering Krell’s location in the Midwest, it’s not all that surprising that he’d hop on the track of a local artist like Chicago’s Tink. The song in question is “Can I” off her first solo mixtape, Winter’s Diary.
To Tink’s original slowly swelling track, Krell adds his own makeshift verse recorded through his Macbook microphone; even so, the effect of his gossamer voice is not lost. Stream the revamped “Can I,” below.
