Australian dance-rock titans Cut Copy decided to release some music the old fashioned way this weekend. Perhaps taking a page from Boards Of Canada’s pre-release playbook, the Melbourne group released its new single, “Let Me Show You,” on vinyl this weekend at the Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago, IL. Copies of the song were cut on-site and they even engraved your name on the back of the 12″ when you bought it.
According to a lucky fan with a copy, a total of 120 copies were made during the three-day festival. But there’s no need to feel jealous if you didn’t score a vinyl of the single: That same fan has put the dreamy, disco-flavored track up on YouTube for us non-Pitchfork attendees to hear. The single presumably comes from the follow-up to 2011’s epic Zonoscope. Check it out below.
