The Brooklyn art-punk allstars of Liars announced the first details for their upcoming sixth full-length release. Put out on Mute, and unnamed as of yet, the album will be available June 5. The press release promises “a complete break from anything you’d ever heard the band do previously,” keeping with Liars’ penchant for experimentalism and jarring departures.
“If we aren’t confusing people, it’s not us,” guitarist/vocalist Angus Andrew declared. “If we aren’t confusing ourselves with what we do, then we’ve failed.” Be sure to check out the band’s Tumblr to increase your own anticipatory befuddlement.
