Jonny, the Welsh-Scottish collaboration between Teenage Fanclub singer-songwriter Norman Blake and Euros Childs, former frontman of Gorky’s Zygotic Mynci , has announced two weeks of North American tour dates in June, in support of its self-titled debut.

Described as psychedelic rock, Jonny evokes less the modern idea of psychedelia (swirling synths, reverberating vocals, etc.) than the classic ’60s image of a Hammond organ and harmonic pop—less Panda Bear, more Jim Morrison.

Jonny’s first single is called “Candyfloss,” and the album Jonny is out now digitally via Merge. A CD version comes out April 12 and also includes the four songs from the band’s free EP, released earlier this year.
