CMJ Music Marathon & Film Festival may be over, but if you’re still curled up in bed in the fetal position from panel withdrawal, don’t fret! Intercollegiate Broadcasting System has announced its CUNY media conference, to be held at Kingsborough Community College on Saturday, November 19. The conference will feature more than a dozen guest speakers, and the keynote address will be given by CBS Radio executive vice president Scott Herman, who will discuss his journey from college radio to the CBS airwaves.
The 15 panels offered this year include “The Role Of Social Media At Your Station And In The Newsroom,” “FCC Bootcamp,” and “Radio Today And The Future Of The Medium,” as well as workshops covering all the essentials of the medium, from interviews to video editing. The roster of guest speakers includes Sirius XM’s Mike Abrams and Geronimo, Public Enemy producer Johnny “Juice” and Stony Brook media guru (and Music Marathon 2011 panelist) Norm Prusslin.
If you want a day full of panels, wisdom—and most importantly, music!—you can register here.
