The Hold Steady has more or less been on tour since the release of last year’s Heaven Is Whenever. That hasn’t stopped the band from announcing eight new dates at the end of this coming summer though.

The Hold Steady will kick off its tour in Milwaukee on August 24 and wrap up September 1 in Washington, DC. The band will also play a free show at the Toyota Antics Block Party in Omaha, NE, on August 26.

Though the Hold Steady frontman Craig Finn did debut three new songs on Minnesota Public Radio last week, insiders have assured CMJ that this tour does not mean the Hold Steady is going to release a new album anytime soon. Tour dates listed below.
