Hangout Music Festival has announced a 2011 line-up spearheaded by Paul Simon and Foo Fighters. Held this year from May 20 to 22, the festival will take place right on the beach of Gulf Shores, AL. Now in its second year, Hangout Music Festival is already growing, with a fifth stage to be added to house more performances.
Also appearing at the three day festival are the Black Keys, My Morning Jacket, Flaming Lips, Cee-Lo Green, Primus, Michael Franti And Spearhead, Pretty Lights, Bassnectar, Girl Talk, Ween, Matisyahu, Umphrey’s McGee, Slightly Stoopid, Amos Lee, Minus The Bear, Portugal The Man and Civil Twilight among many others.
Along with the newly added air-conditioned stage, the festival will create Hammock Beach, a salt-water lagoon where festival-goers can find refuge in the shade, and browse art installations. Also located in this area will be Sky-bar tower, which will provide patrons with a 360-degree view of the entire festival. Late night DJs and a VIP only in-ground pool also add to the growing festival.
