After a somewhat gray first two days at Governors Ball, the sun shone on Randall’s Island for the final day of music, $13 french fries and strategically placed bandanas. But mostly music: like Beirut, Foals, Portugal. The Man, Grizzly Bear and other big-name acts that had elbows going wild as audience members jostled for spots in the front.
Zach Condon was smirking, Kele Okereke was unstoppable, and the crowd was creative, with at least one audience member cleverly shielding himself from the sun by putting a box on his head. Our photographer Alix Piorun was there to catch all the action—and we’re pretty sure she made due without a head-box.
