Goner Records has finalized the lineup for the 11th annual Gonerfest, to be hosted in Memphis, TN, September 25-28. The garage rock-centric festival will feature blistering sets by bands from all over the world, divided up into three stacked evening showcases at The Hi-Tone, a Friday afternoon show at The Buccaneer, and a massive 10-band blowout at Murphy’s on Saturday the 27th.
The extensive lineup includes sets from Wreckless Eric‘s international supergroup Len Bright Combo, San Francisco’s Warm Soda, Columbus, Ohio’s Connections, the original 1977 lineup of Bloomington, Indiana’s Gizmos, Galway, Ireland’s So Cow, Sydney, Australia’s Angie, and Memphis’s own Grifters, to name just a few.
The festival has also partnered with Memphis Made Brewing Company to create two special beers for the event: “Guitar Attack” IPA and “Goner Blue Ribbon,” to be known colloquially as (of course) “GBR.”
We had one heck of a time at Gonerfest 10, and Gonerfest 11 promises to be a good time for anyone interested in bands and beer which, last time we checked, is pretty much everyone. Check out the festival’s full schedule and ticket info here and dig the wild fest poster below.
