UPDATE: There sure is a demand for Spotify in the U.S.; all of our invites went in just minutes! Congrats to everyone who grabbed one!

Spotify, the service that launched 10 million Europeans into a free stream of music, has finally come to the U.S. In case you may have forgotten, Spotify is a service that allows you to stream music online for free as well as create public playlists to share with friends. The U.S. catalog is said to have more than 15 million tracks for your listening pleasure. As of now, the only way to get a beta invite is to sign up for premium or unlimited services ($4.99/month and $9.99/month respectively). However, in celebration of this momentous occasion several years in the making, CMJ will be giving away beta invites for six free months of Spotify, courtesy of Spotify and Chevrolet.

Invites are on a first-come, first-served basis, so get them now because they’re going fast. Click here to score an invitation code. After that, head here to redeem your code and download the Spotify desktop or mobile application. Soon, you will be filling your ears with that new Enrique Iglesias (or, y’know, Bon Iver) album that you’ve been dying to hear. Happy listening, CMJ readers.
