At Pier 26 in New York City’s Hudson River Park last night, Tegan And Sara reminded everyone why they’re so easy to like. Playing songs off this year’s Heartthrob as well as older fan favorites, the sister duo dabbled in guitar kicks, soaring vocals, and over-the-keyboard smirks, making them a tough act to follow.
Joining T And S was perpetually ecstatic band Fun. whose assertive punctuation forces you to agree that they are. Wearing his signature leg-lengthening cuffed jeans, (also where he stores his Grammy), vocalist Nate Ruess crooned to a willing fan base, boyishly grinning. Our photographer Chris Becker was in the crowd, flustered by Ruess’s head veins.
