Sweat-inducing trash-blues trio Daddy Long Legs has just got back from another Spanish tour in time to announce the slinging out of their second album, Blood From A Stone, on June 10, via Norton Records. Recorded by Matt Verta-Ray (Heavy Trash), it’s 13 more blasts of harmonica-heaved, garage stomp testifying wrapped in black vests and varied ties of a vintage origin. The Brooklyn bunch prefer BBQ joints and motorcycle shops for venues, but will be hosting a triple Norton record release soiree on May 31 at Union Pool in their home digs. Norton mainstay the A-Bones and their drummer Miriam Linna will play sets celebrating their latest albums—Linna’s being her first ever solo record. It’s one more way Norton can celebrate not just some cool new tunes, but surviving superstorm Sandy, which nearly sunk the label.
