Lord Huron will be joining Givers on tour, with both also playing their respective gigs at the 2011 CMJ Music Marathon. With a few weeks to go, it’s becoming apparent just what kind of lineup we’ve got on our hands: These two bands play pop at a gallop, but Lord Huron favors reverb on his vocals and the use of a cascade of instruments. What we’re most excited to see/hear are his jungle drums reproduced live, as it ought to be as fun and energetic as it sounds.
As an aside, each band in their own way reminds us a little of Paul Simon in the best way possible. As a precursor to Lord Huron’s live shows, check out the new video for “Mighty” below, as well as the full list of tour dates.
