Things continued to heat up in Beantown following the Boston Calling Music Festival’s revved-up first day. The National, Dirty Projectors, Youth Lagoon and a slew of others stormed the stage like the second-coming of the Boston Tea Party, except instead of tea, they were pouring out sweet tunes. Andrew Bird looked a little cold, but his violin sure as heck wasn’t.
If you missed it this time around, a second “Calling” will take place in September with Vampire Weekend and Passion Pit scheduled to headline. Our photographer Emily Korn was there to catch all the action, including some hyper-excited fans and one not-so-excited toddler.
