New York punk band Bomb The Music Industry! wants you to go on vacation—for free. The band, formed by Jeff Rosenstock in 2004, is releasing Vacation on July 26 on Ernest Jenning/Really. Just as with BTMI!’s previous releases, the album will be available for free via Quote Unquote, Rosenstock’s “pay what you can” online label, as well as on CD or vinyl. Written by Rosenstock while he was on a free vacation in Belize and recorded by him and guitarist Tom Malinowski, the album shows a more optimistic side of the songwriter and is the first time that the band has brought in an outsider to mix and master the tracks.

BTMI! will be going on an East Coast tour in support of the album, and as is its policy, all shows are all ages and ticket prices are never above $10. For a hint of what to expect from both the new album and the tour, “Vocal Coach,” the album’s first single, is streaming here.
