Four-piece indie rock outfit the Black Rabbits has signed with Rock Ridge to release its debut full-length album, Hypno Switch, on June 21. This album follows up the group’s self-titled debut EP from 2010, which peaked on CMJ’s Radio 200 at No. 96 and found media placements in television shows throughout the year.

Headed by brothers Jetson and Skyler Black on vocals/guitar and drums, the Black Rabbits is rounded out by bassist Yuki Tong and organist Kim Drakeley who also provide backing vocals. The group worked with producers Billy Chapin and Stan Lynch (of Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers) on its debut EP as well as its upcoming full-length, creating a loud garage-rock sound with a soft side influenced by ’60s rock staples as well as more recent groups like the White Stripes.
